TOTO’s design draws inspiration from the shape of a turtle’s shell, which naturally resembles a soft pouf. This reference is embedded in the collection’s name; when translating the word “turtle” into English, one of the options is “tortoise,” which the designer intentionally shortened to “TOTO” for better promotion of the collection. Nature often provides the best inspiration, so during the development of new products, I, as a designer, frequently observe natural forms, interpreting and stylizing them to suit the object’s function. What is derived from nature often works best! TOTO comprises a set of soft poufs and coffee tables, totaling seven items. They complement and blend well with each other due to their distinctive design
